SORCERERS Sorcerers are humans that can use magic. The longer a sorcerer has studied magic the more powerful they will be. Sorcerers have the ability to summon and control fables. Sorcerers start off with the ability to use three elements and get nine spells in total.

ARTIFICERS An Artificer is a human or fae that has gained access to an Artifact. An artifact is an item that is fueled with psychic energy from human attention. Artifacts can take many different shapes and forms, though they are generally items that either a god used in ancient times, or an item that has become infamous.

TRUE GIFTED True Gifted are mortals who have powers over magic that are born inside of them. They are equivalent to superheros. A true gifted can have a multitude of different abilities, but usually can't change what type of magic manifests when they use their power unlike a sorcerer.

PRISTINELY UNGIFTED Pristinely Ungifted are mortals born with no sense of magic whatsoever. They are "Untouched". Not only are they skeptics, but they physically cannot see magic, nor can they be touched by it. Thus, these are true threats to magic.

MORTALS In the world of Ancient, Mortals play a large role in determining the fate of everything. Mortals are the reason gods exist in the first place. When humnanity was just forming, they needed ways to explain the way the world worked. So, they told stories of Gods and monsters. Over time, these ideas formed beings of immense power, and they thrived on the psychic energies of the humans, just as humans relied on them. When the Gods fell, Mortals discovered their magics. And a few of them learned to use them. Gods still rely on Mortals to an extent...
